MPG Announces First Quarter Grants
Monrovia, California – April 28, 2014 – The Monrovia Providers Group (MPG) President, Rev. Douglas Edwards, announced the senior grants provided for the First Quarter of 2014 at a recent MPG Board meeting at Westminster Gardens, Duarte.
Totaling nearly $2,700, the requests granted were for critical everyday needs, such as dentures and diabetic shoes, and for repairing or replacing an oven, refrigerator and heater for home-bound senior citizens in Monrovia and surrounding communities.
Small grant requests are submitted through an MPG member, and verified through our member agencies, Foothill Unity Center and Santa Anita Family Service. They must then be approved by a majority vote of the MPG Board.
